RPF-GRP Awareness Campaign on Cybersecurity and Narcotics at LTT

An awareness campaign focusing on cybersecurity and narcotics was jointly organized at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai on Tuesday by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and Railway officials.

Key Advisory for Passengers

During the drive, passengers were strongly advised not to accept or consume any food items or beverages offered by unknown individuals during train journeys. They were urged to immediately inform RPF or GRP about any suspicious person or activity noticed within station premises or trains.

Cyber Fraud Education

Passengers were educated about various prevalent cyber frauds, including OTP sharing scams, QR code frauds, UPI-related frauds, KYC update scams, and fake investment schemes circulated through social media and Telegram platforms promising unrealistic financial returns, according to a statement released by the RPF.

Passengers were also encouraged to immediately report any cyber-related incident on Cyber Helpline No. 1930 and contact the nearest police station or RPF chowky for assistance.

Campaign Execution

The campaign was effectively carried out through public announcement systems, direct interaction with passengers, and distribution of awareness pamphlets across the station premises.

This initiative aims to enhance passenger safety and vigilance against emerging cyber threats and narcotics-related risks.
