Commission's Statement

In its complaint, the Commission stated that the Lekhpal Main Examination was conducted in a “completely fair, transparent, and integrity-driven manner” across 861 examination centers located in 44 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Despite extensive arrangements to ensure transparency and security during the examination process, several misleading and unverified claims were circulated online after the examination.

The Commission alleged that the social media posts were aimed at misleading aspirants, disrupting official work, and creating unnecessary panic regarding the credibility of the examination. Earlier, the Commission had also issued a public advisory urging candidates not to rely on rumors, unauthorized social media posts, or unverified information related to the examination process.

Investigation and Legal Action

Police officials stated that cyber teams are examining social media posts, digital accounts, and online activity linked to the circulation of the alleged misinformation. Legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. The police have assured that the matter will be handled with due diligence to prevent further spread of false information and to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
