Mumbai Traffic Police Imposes Odd-Even Parking on Mulund Road

The Mumbai Traffic Police have introduced parking restrictions on streets in Mulund to combat traffic congestion. A statement from the traffic police explained that Jungle Mangal Road, stretching from Khot Gully to Shivaji Lake in the Bhandup-Mulund belt, is an internal road where local residents and office employees frequently park vehicles on both sides. Designating it as an Odd-Even Parking zone is expected to reduce congestion and facilitate smoother vehicular flow.

Parking Rules and Schedule

Under the new regulations, parking will be permitted on the left side of Jungle Mangal Road, from Shivaji Lake to Khot Gully, on even dates of each month. Conversely, parking will be allowed on the right side on odd dates. Additionally, all types of heavy vehicles are prohibited from parking on this road.

Duration of Restrictions

These parking restrictions will be in effect from May 12 to August 11. Residents and commuters are advised to adhere to the schedule to avoid penalties.
