Chennai: The Cauvery Calling movement, led by Sadhguru, is set to host a 'Food Forest Cultivation Seminar and South Indian Fruits Festival' at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Trichy on June 14. The event aims to unite agricultural scientists, progressive farmers, and experts to advocate for tree-based multi-crop farming and sustainable agriculture.
Event Objectives
According to Cauvery Calling field coordinators Swami Srimukha and Tamilmaran, along with UN award-winning farmer Valluvan, the program seeks to revive traditional food forest systems. It also aims to assist farmers in diversifying their incomes through fruit cultivation, value addition, and improved market linkages.
