Asus India Expands Drop Zone Initiative to 22 Additional Exclusive Stores
Asus India is significantly expanding its innovative Drop Zone initiative, adding 22 more exclusive stores to its network. This strategic move brings convenient laptop repair drop-off services to numerous additional cities across the country, eliminating the need for customers to search for dedicated service centers.
Phase 2 Rollout Reaches Multiple States
The Phase 2 expansion covers a diverse range of regions including Delhi NCR, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. This comprehensive rollout represents a deliberate mix of major metropolitan markets alongside smaller tier-2 and tier-3 cities that have traditionally received less attention in after-sales service coverage.
How the Drop Zone Service Works
The concept behind Drop Zone is remarkably straightforward. Customers simply walk into any participating Asus Exclusive Store, hand over their laptop for repair, and let the store coordinate directly with the service center on their behalf. This eliminates extra travel and removes guesswork from the repair process.
Customers receive a detailed job sheet, regular repair updates, and ultimately collect their fully repaired device from the same store where they dropped it off. The entire process is designed for maximum convenience and transparency.
From Modest Beginnings to Major Expansion
The Drop Zone initiative began modestly with initial locations in Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Coimbatore. This current expansion represents a substantial scaling of the program, supported by Asus's extensive backend infrastructure that includes over 200 service centers nationwide.
The company has established comprehensive on-site support covering more than 17,000 pin codes and has achieved district-level coverage across 761 locations throughout India.
Built on the 4A Framework
Arnold Su, Vice President of Consumer and Gaming PC at Asus India, explained that the Drop Zone expansion aligns with the company's established 4A framework. This framework consists of Assured Quality, Always-on Support, All-around Coverage, and Added-value Services.
In practical terms, this translates to standardized repair processes, 24/7 helpdesk accessibility, and faster turnaround times achieved through improved coordination between retail locations and service centers.
Multiple Service Options Available
Beyond the Drop Zone service, Asus continues to offer traditional carry-in support at service centers as well as on-site technician visits for customers who prefer these options. The company has also developed digital self-service layers through the MyAsus mobile application and dedicated Asus YouTube channels, providing troubleshooting resources for customers who prefer to address issues independently.
As the Phase 2 rollout progresses forward, Asus has indicated that additional locations will be added to the Drop Zone network, further expanding the reach of this convenient repair service across India.
