Ducati Unleashes Streetfighter V2 in Indian Market
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has officially launched its much-anticipated Streetfighter V2 in the Indian market, bringing superbike DNA to the naked motorcycle segment. The aggressive streetfighter makes its debut with two variants - the standard V2 and the premium V2 S - offering Indian enthusiasts a taste of Ducati's racing heritage combined with everyday usability.
Powerful V2 Engine and Performance Specifications
At the heart of the new Streetfighter V2 lies a new 890 cc, 90-degree V2 engine that complies with Euro5+ emission norms. This compact powerplant generates an impressive 120 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and delivers 93.3 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. For track enthusiasts, Ducati offers an optional race-spec exhaust from its accessories kit that boosts peak power to 126 hp while reducing weight by 4.5 kg.
The engineering marvel weighs just 54.4 kg and serves as a stressed element in a monocoque frame, contributing to the motorcycle's lightweight character. Ducati lists the dry weight at 175 kg for the V2 S and 178 kg for the standard V2, making this the lightest Streetfighter the brand has ever produced.
Advanced Chassis and Suspension Setup
The Streetfighter V2 features a double-sided swingarm inspired by the Panigale V4, wrapped in high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. Braking duties are handled by premium Brembo M50 monobloc calipers working on 320 mm front discs.
The suspension setup differs between variants, with the standard V2 equipped with a fully adjustable Marzocchi fork and Kayaba rear shock. The V2 S upgrades to fully adjustable Öhlins NIX-30 front forks and an Öhlins rear shock, offering superior damping control and track performance.
Comprehensive Electronics Package
Ducati has equipped the Streetfighter V2 with electronics derived from its SuperSport systems, centered around a sophisticated 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). The comprehensive electronics suite includes cornering ABS with slide-by-brake function, predictive Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and the second-generation Ducati Quick Shift (DQS 2.0).
Riders can choose from four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road, and Wet, adapting the motorcycle's character to different conditions. Instrumentation is handled by a 5-inch TFT display that offers three distinct layouts for road and track use.
Pricing and Availability in India
The Streetfighter V2 and V2 S are available in Ducati Red across Indian dealerships starting November 27, 2025. The standard Streetfighter V2 is priced at ₹17.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the fully-equipped Streetfighter V2 S costs ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The premium V2 S variant adds Öhlins suspension, a lithium-ion battery, Ducati Power Launch, and a pit limiter, while maintaining a listed wet weight of 175 kg without fuel. Ducati will also offer numerous accessories including a racing exhaust, Lap Timer Pro, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigator, USB socket, and TPMS sensor for owners wanting to customize their machines.
With its compact V2 engine, lightweight chassis, and rich electronics package, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 positions itself as the ultimate sport naked that brings authentic superbike performance to everyday riding scenarios while remaining accessible for track day enthusiasts.
