Dyson Launches New Hot+Cool Purifiers to Combat Winter Pollution in India
Dyson's New Hot+Cool Purifiers Tackle Winter Smog

Dyson Fights Winter Smog with New Multi-Functional Purifiers

As a dense blanket of smog descends upon Indian cities this winter, technology company Dyson has launched two innovative new purifiers designed to combat the severe indoor air pollution that plagues the season. The newly introduced Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx (HP12) and the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 represent a significant advancement in year-round air quality management by combining intelligent heating, powerful cooling, and state-of-the-art air purification in a single, sleek device.

Advanced Filtration to Tackle Common Indian Pollutants

Both new models are engineered with Dyson's latest sensing, filtration, and airflow technologies, specifically calibrated to address the unique pollution profile of Indian households during winter. They are designed to capture a wide spectrum of harmful pollutants, including nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10). These pollutants commonly infiltrate homes from sources like vehicle emissions, cooking activities, and industrial pollution.

The company asserts that its fully sealed filtration system enables these machines to capture an impressive 99.95 per cent of particles as small as 0.1 microns. The HP1 model is equipped with an HEPA H13 and activated carbon filter, which effectively traps ultrafine pollutants and neutralizes stubborn household odours.

The High-End HP2 De-NOx and Its Specialized Gas Capture

The premium HP2 De-NOx model takes air purification a step further by incorporating Dyson's most advanced gas-capture system yet. This system features a groundbreaking new K-Carbon filter that is scientifically proven to capture 50 per cent more nitrogen dioxide than traditional carbon filters. Furthermore, this advanced filter is capable of destroying formaldehyde, a common and dangerous indoor gas.

Powerful Air Projection and Smart Home Integration

Leveraging Dyson's signature Air Multiplier technology, both purifiers can project over 290 litres of purified air per second throughout the room. This is complemented by a 350-degree oscillation feature, ensuring purified air is distributed evenly for whole-room coverage.

The dual-mode functionality is a key highlight, allowing the device to automatically maintain a pre-set temperature during the chilly winter months or switch to a cooling mode as needed. For modern smart home control, users can monitor real-time air quality, adjust heating or cooling settings, and schedule operations remotely via the MyDyson app. The devices also support voice commands through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity provide users with the ability to track air-quality data and access product support directly from their smartphones.

Pricing and Availability

The new Dyson purifiers are now available for purchase across Dyson stores and on Dyson.in. The advanced Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx is priced at Rs 68,900, while the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP1 is available for Rs 56,900. Both models are offered in multiple colour options to suit different home decors.
