Samsung Galaxy Book6 Series Launches at CES 2026: AI Power, Slimmer Design
Samsung Galaxy Book6 Series Debuts at CES 2026

Samsung Electronics has officially taken the wraps off its next-generation Galaxy Book6 laptop family at the CES 2026 tech expo. The new lineup, designed to empower creators and demanding professionals, consists of three models: the flagship Galaxy Book6 Ultra, the Galaxy Book6 Pro, and the standard Galaxy Book6.

Power and Performance: Intel's Latest Meets AI Acceleration

At the core of the Galaxy Book6 series lies the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor. Samsung highlights that this is the first client chip built on Intel's advanced 18A process. This new silicon promises a major leap in performance across the CPU, GPU, and crucially, neural processing capabilities.

The enhanced Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is a cornerstone of this launch. Capable of handling a staggering 50 trillion operations per second, it enables faster and more responsive on-device AI features. This means tasks like real-time image editing, live translation, and AI-assisted content creation can happen swiftly without heavy reliance on cloud computing.

For users in graphics-intensive fields, the Galaxy Book6 Ultra offers extra muscle. It pairs the Intel platform with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or 5060 Laptop GPUs, making it a potent machine for video editing, 3D graphics rendering, and AI-powered content tools.

Slimmer Profile, Cooler Operation, and All-Day Battery

Despite the increased power, Samsung has engineered a slimmer design across the range. The Galaxy Book6 Ultra is just 15.4mm thick, while the 16-inch Pro model achieves an impressive 11.9mm profile. This was made possible by a complete redesign of internal components and cooling structures.

Speaking of cooling, Samsung has overhauled its thermal management system. The Pro series debuts vapour chamber cooling for the first time, while the Ultra model sees an expansion of its cooling components. These upgrades aim to sustain high performance during long workloads while minimizing fan noise.

Battery life sees a significant claim from Samsung. Both the Ultra and Pro models are stated to deliver up to 30 hours of video playback. When you do need to recharge, fast charging technology can restore more than half the battery in approximately 30 minutes, supporting all-day use for work or creative projects.

Display, Audio, and Deep Galaxy AI Integration

The visual experience on the Book6 Ultra and Pro is driven by a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits and an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Enhanced anti-reflective coatings and Vision Booster technology improve outdoor visibility by dynamically adjusting colour and contrast. The screen is protected by durable Gorilla Glass with DXC treatment to reduce glare and scratches.

Audio gets a major boost, especially on the Ultra model, which features a six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and force-cancelling woofers. This setup promises immersive sound for both media consumption and video calls.

AI is deeply woven into the user experience. Galaxy AI features are integrated directly into Windows 11, offering tools like AI-assisted search, note summarization, instant image background removal, and seamless file sharing across Galaxy devices. Samsung has also enhanced cross-device integration, allowing users to move content between Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and these new laptops with minimal friction.

Availability and Enterprise Options

The consumer Galaxy Book6 series will start rolling out in late January 2026 in select regions. Buyers can choose between two colour options: Grey and Silver.

For business customers, Samsung announced a Galaxy Book6 Enterprise Edition, scheduled for release in April 2026 in some countries. This version will come with tailored features and solutions designed for managed IT environments, offering enhanced security and deployment tools for organizations.
