Samsung Electronics has officially pulled back the curtain on its latest range of audio products for 2026, introducing a refreshed Q-Series of soundbars and new Wi-Fi speakers. The announcement, made on Monday, December 29, serves as a prelude to the massive Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, scheduled to run from January 6 to January 9, 2026, in Las Vegas.
Next-Generation Soundbars for Cinematic Immersion
The South Korean tech giant is bolstering its popular Q-Series with two new models designed to elevate home entertainment. The flagship offering is the Soundbar HW-Q990H, an impressive 11.1.4-channel system. This setup combines a 7.0.2 main soundbar, 4.0.2 rear speakers, and a dual 8-inch driver built into a compact active subwoofer.
A key innovation in this model is Samsung's new Sound Elevation technology, which intelligently directs dialogue toward the center of the screen for a more natural and clear audio experience. The soundbar also features Auto Volume to maintain consistent sound levels across different channels and types of content.
For consumers seeking a more streamlined setup, Samsung is introducing an All-in-One Soundbar, the HW-QS90H. This 7.1.2-channel model features a unique Convertible Fit design, allowing it to be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall. It incorporates a built-in gyro sensor that automatically adjusts the channel distribution based on its orientation.
Remarkably, this all-in-one unit houses 13 drivers, including nine wide-range speakers, and a built-in Quad Bass Woofer system, eliminating the need for an external subwoofer while still delivering deep bass.
Music Studio Wi-Fi Speakers with Timeless Design
Moving beyond the home theatre space, Samsung is also expanding its wireless audio offerings with two new Wi-Fi speakers. The Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 are crafted around a 'timeless dot' design concept created by renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, aligning with Samsung's signature aesthetic.
The premium Music Studio 7 delivers 3.1.1-channel spatial audio through an array of left, front, right, and top-firing speakers. It is equipped with advanced features like Audio Lab Pattern Control for cleaner sound directionality and AI Dynamic Bass Control for deep, distortion-free bass. It supports Hi-Resolution Audio processing up to 24-bit/96kHz and comes in classic black and white finishes.
The more compact Music Studio 5 is designed for versatile placement in various interior spaces. It utilizes a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters with a built-in waveguide for balanced sound. It shares many of the premium features of its larger sibling, including Audio Lab Pattern Control and AI Dynamic Bass Control, and supports Wi-Fi casting, Bluetooth via Samsung Seamless Codec, and voice control.
Enhanced Ecosystem with Upgraded Q-Symphony
To create a seamless multi-device audio environment, Samsung has significantly upgraded its Q-Symphony technology. The enhanced platform now allows users to connect and synchronize up to five different Samsung sound devices with a compatible Samsung television.
This smart system can analyze the room's layout and the placement of each speaker to optimize channel distribution for an authentic surround sound experience. Furthermore, Samsung has updated its SmartThings app, giving users centralized control over sound settings, group playback management, music streaming services, and voice assistants from any connected mobile device.
"For more than a decade, Samsung has shaped the evolution of home audio through advanced acoustics, intelligent features and thoughtful design," said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "We're continuing that legacy with next-generation sound devices designed to deliver a rich, expressive performance for any space and moment."
All these new audio products are set to be showcased at the upcoming CES 2025 in Las Vegas, marking Samsung's latest push to dominate the premium home audio market.
