Vivo has officially announced the India launch of its flagship X300 series, setting the stage for a major showdown in the premium smartphone segment. The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will make their debut in the Indian market on December 2, 2025, bringing cutting-edge technology and premium features to compete with established rivals.
Powerful Performance and Software Experience
At the heart of both devices lies MediaTek's latest Dimensity 9500 processor, promising exceptional performance and efficiency. The phones will run on Android 16-based OriginOS 6, marking the first time Vivo introduces this new user interface to Indian consumers. This combination positions the X300 series as a formidable competitor against the Oppo X9 series and OnePlus 15 in the premium smartphone category.
Design and Camera Capabilities
Vivo has revealed the color options for both models, with the Pro variant available in Dune Brown and Phantom Black, while the standard X300 comes in Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Summit Red – the latter being an exclusive color for Indian consumers. The company has also confirmed its continued partnership with ZEISS for camera optimization on both devices.
The camera systems showcase impressive specifications, with the X300 Pro featuring a 200MP APO Telephoto lens and the standard X300 equipped with a 200MP primary shooter. Both phones will come with a dedicated photography kit, similar to what Oppo previously showcased for its X9 lineup, enhancing the professional photography experience for users.
Display and Build Quality
The display specifications reveal premium quality across both models. The Vivo X300 boasts a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with an impressive 4,500 nits peak brightness, protected by Armor Glass and featuring 2160Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain during nighttime usage.
The X300 Pro steps up with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display maintaining the same peak brightness of 4,500 nits while offering a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. Both devices come with robust IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, capable of withstanding submersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Detailed Technical Specifications
Under the hood, both the X300 and X300 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor paired with an Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. The standard X300 supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage space.
The camera setups differ significantly between models. The X300 features a triple camera system comprising a 200MP Samsung HPB primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, and 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope telephoto lens, complemented by a 50MP front camera.
The X300 Pro, meanwhile, opts for a 50MP Sony LYT828 primary shooter, 20MP ultra-wide angle lens, and 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens, also featuring a 50MP selfie camera. Battery capacities are substantial, with the X300 housing a 6,040 mAh battery and the Pro model packing an even larger 6,510 mAh battery, both supporting 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
Pricing and Market Position
While Indian pricing remains unconfirmed, the Chinese pricing provides some indication. The Vivo X300 starts at 4,399 yuan (approximately ₹55,000) and goes up to 5,799 yuan (around ₹72,000) for higher configurations. The X300 Pro begins at 5,299 yuan (approximately ₹66,000) and reaches 6,699 yuan (around ₹83,475) for the top variant.
Industry observers note that Indian pricing typically exceeds Chinese pricing due to import duties and taxes, suggesting the X300 series will position itself firmly in the premium segment when it arrives on December 2.
