Call of Duty Black Ops 7 & Warzone Season 1 Launches Dec 4: Biggest Update Ever
Call of Duty Season 1 Starts Dec 4 with Major Content Drop

The gaming world is set for a massive upheaval as the first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone is officially scheduled to begin on December 4. Microsoft-owned Activision has boldly declared this upcoming season as the most significant seasonal content release in the entire history of the iconic Call of Duty series, promising an unprecedented amount of new gameplay across both titles.

What's New in Black Ops 7 and Warzone?

The narrative for Black Ops 7's campaign will advance with General Dorne embarking on a relentless quest for revenge. Meanwhile, the free-to-play battle royale, Call of Duty: Warzone, will welcome players to a brand-new Resurgence map named Haven's Hollow. This mysterious location, set in Appalachia, features intriguing spots like Haven's Lab, a foreboding Mansion, and a unique floating casino Riverboat.

For fans of the undead, the Zombies mode is getting a major addition with the Astra Malorum map. This new story experience takes players to an observatory perched on a skull-shaped asteroid in deep space, where they must investigate the secrets of a forgotten death cult. Additionally, a new survival map, Exit 115, will test players against endless waves of zombies.

Multiplayer Gets a Major Refresh

The core Multiplayer experience in Black Ops 7 is receiving a substantial injection of fresh content. Players can look forward to four new maps at the launch of Season 1:

  • Fate: A nightmarish reimagining of Raul Menendez's Nicaraguan compound, complete with giant machetes looming in the sky.
  • Utopia: An abandoned futuristic city, once a sanctuary for the wealthy, now designed for fast and frenetic combat.
  • Odysseus: A massive floating carrier that promises intense, non-stop close-quarters action.
  • Standoff: A lovingly remastered version of the classic Black Ops 2 map, with all the favorite player spots intact.

Alongside these maps, several beloved game modes are making a comeback. Prop Hunt returns with new twists for the Black Ops era, while the tense One In The Chamber and the weapon-cycling chaos of Sharpshooter will also be available for competitive free-for-all matches.

Warzone Updates and Seasonal Festivities

Beyond the new Haven's Hollow map, the classic Verdansk region in Warzone is also getting updates. A new Signal Station located south of the Military Base will allow players to activate satellite systems, revealing a Tactical Heat Map that shows enemy locations. The popular Factory location is also returning with fresh renovations tailored for Black Ops 7.

The season will also feature a holiday-themed CODMAS event. This celebration will include a limited-time map called Sleighjacked (a ship transformed into a sleigh), special modes, and cross-mode festivities.

Players can earn a wealth of new gear by tackling in-game challenges and progressing through the Season 01 Battle Pass. This pass offers over 110 unlockable items, including a 10% XP boost, the "Dorne" Operator, the Maddox RFB Assault Rifle, and the Kogot-7 SMG. The cooperative campaign epilogue, Endgame, will also receive updates.

Both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are now accessible on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and other major platforms. The December 4 launch marks the beginning of a new, content-rich chapter for one of the world's most popular gaming franchises.
