Twitch Star Jynxzi's Stream Hit by DDoS Again, Plans Legal Action
Jynxzi's Stream Hit by DDoS, Plans Legal Action

Popular Twitch personality Nicholas Jynxzi was forced to end his livestream prematurely on January 5, 2026, after repeated and deliberate cyberattacks crippled his broadcast. This marks the second such disruptive incident within a single week, prompting the frustrated streamer to announce plans for legal recourse against the perpetrators.

Stream Disrupted Mid-Gameplay

The attack occurred while Jynxzi was live, playing games like Rocket League and Arc Raiders with fellow content creators TheBurntPeanut and Kylie “Sketch”. Viewers quickly noticed severe technical issues, with the stream repeatedly freezing and displaying a “connection lost” message. Despite attempts to restore stability, the broadcast continued to drop, ultimately leading to an early shutdown.

Jynxzi later confirmed the root cause: a targeted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack flooding his internet connection with malicious traffic. These attacks are designed to overwhelm a network, forcing it offline and causing significant disruption, especially for live streamers whose income and schedule depend on consistent broadcasts.

Jynxzi's Firm Response and Security Plans

After nearly four hours of struggle, at the 3:54:58 timestamp of the stream, Jynxzi explained the situation to his audience. He detailed a conversation with his internet service provider, who confirmed the severity of the attack. Immediate solutions, like changing his IP address, were not feasible on the spot.

He stated on stream: “We have to set up a lot of things tonight and tomorrow, like VPNs and a dynamic router, so the IP keeps changing. We are not going to be able to stream Arc Raiders tonight. There is no way.”

This persistent harassment has pushed Jynxzi to take a strong stand. He emphasized the illegal nature of the attacks, classifying them as cybersecurity crimes. His plan involves leveraging his contacts within the industry to identify and prosecute those responsible.

Legal Action on the Horizon

Jynxzi made his intentions clear, announcing a decisive move towards legal action. He plans to reach out to his contacts at major platforms and developers involved, specifically naming Ubisoft and Twitch.

“I am going to contact everybody I know at Ubisoft and Twitch. We already have some people’s information that was sent to us,” Jynxzi declared. “I will do everything in my power to make sure someone goes to jail. This is illegal. This is a cybersecurity crime.”

For now, the streamer's immediate focus is on bolstering his digital security with measures like VPNs and dynamic IP routing to prevent future attacks. Only after implementing these safeguards does he plan to return to his regular streaming schedule. This incident highlights the ongoing vulnerability of online creators to malicious cyber activities and the growing willingness of victims to pursue legal justice.
