Popular Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys finds herself embroiled in fresh controversy, this time surrounding the alleged demise of her snack venture, Myna Snacks. The brand, which aimed to offer healthier cookie and cracker options, is now at the centre of claims that it has quietly gone out of business.
YouTuber's Investigation Points to a Silent Exit
On December 28, 2025, content creator Scott Shafer published a detailed video on his channel, ShaferV2, presenting evidence that Myna Snacks has ceased operations. Shafer alleged that the shutdown was conducted discreetly, possibly to avoid another wave of negative publicity online. The streamer and her company have not publicly addressed these claims.
In his analysis, Shafer outlined several red flags. He stated that repeated attempts to order products from the Myna Snacks website resulted in items being listed as permanently out of stock. He also scrutinised the brand's social media activity, noting a complete halt in promotions after October 30, 2025.
"This silence is particularly strange," Shafer explained in his video. "The holiday season, especially Christmas, is a peak sales period for snack companies. The absence of marketing and available stock during this time makes no commercial sense."
Website Issues and Unanswered Questions
Further deepening the mystery, Shafer highlighted problems with the company's official website. He reported that the contact page no longer provides functional email addresses or support details, leaving customers with no clear channel for communication. Shafer added that he reached out to both Pokimane and Myna Snacks for clarification but received no response, which strengthened his belief that the business is no longer active.
This alleged quiet exit stands in stark contrast to the brand's loud and controversial beginning. Myna Snacks faced intense backlash from its launch, primarily over its pricing strategy. Consumers heavily criticised the cost, with a box containing just four packs of cookies priced at $28.
A Legacy of Backlash and Controversial Defence
The initial criticism snowballed online, prompting Pokimane to address it directly during a livestream. Her response, however, was widely perceived as harsh and dismissive of customer complaints about value. These comments went viral, significantly damaging the brand's reputation and potentially alienating its target audience. Following that incident, Myna Snacks maintained a notably low profile.
As of now, the future of Myna Snacks remains officially unconfirmed. There has been no statement from Pokimane or any official representative of the company regarding the shutdown claims. The digital silence from the brand's social channels and the evidential gaps pointed out by commentators like Scott Shafer paint a troubling picture for the influencer-led venture.
This situation serves as a cautionary tale about the challenges of translating online fame into a sustainable consumer business, especially in a competitive market where pricing and perceived value are paramount.
