Titanium is one of the most abundant resources you can find on the alien ocean floor of Subnautica 2. However, raw Titanium alone will not suffice in the later stages of the game. Once you reach the mid-game, almost every significant crafting recipe requires Titanium Ingots rather than the raw ore. Unlike raw Titanium, Titanium Ingots cannot be naturally found in the environment. You must manufacture them using a specific machine. This guide provides a step-by-step process to obtain Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2.
How to Get Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2
To craft a Titanium Ingot, you need a Processor and 3 units of Titanium. Follow the steps below to complete the process.
Step 1: Unlock the Processor Blueprint
First, you must build a Processor in your base using the Habitat Builder. If you have not yet unlocked the Processor blueprint, you need to scan one to acquire it. You can find a Processor in the Old Habitat, located approximately 350 meters north of the Lifepod. NOA will direct you there to retrieve Quaker's black box. Alternatively, you can find the Processor blueprint inside the Cicada Shipwreck, which is southwest of the Lifepod. Near the ocean floor, you will discover a broken building containing several scannable objects.
Step 2: Build the Processor
Once you have the Processor blueprint, you can construct it within your base. Use the Habitat Builder to place the Processor inside a base room. Note that the Processor will consume additional power from your base, so ensure you have sufficient energy supply.
Step 3: Craft the Titanium Ingot
This is the final step. Interact with the Processor and select the Titanium Ingot recipe. Load 3 units of Titanium into the machine and wait 30 seconds for it to process the minerals. You will receive one ingot, which can be collected from the compartment on the right side. Each ingot takes 30 seconds to fabricate, but you can queue up to five at a time for efficient production.
What Are Titanium Ingots Used For in Subnautica 2?
Titanium Ingots are essential for crafting many advanced items in Subnautica 2. Key recipes that require Titanium Ingots include the Repair Tool, Sonic Resonator, Tadpole vehicle, Tadpole Haul Chassis, and Mangalloy Ingot. Given the dependency of numerous blueprints on Titanium Ingots, establishing a steady Titanium farming routine early in the game is a wise investment. Prioritize gathering Titanium and setting up a Processor to ensure you have a continuous supply of ingots for your underwater adventures.
