MG Motor India is preparing to launch the new MG Majestor SUV in the Indian market, with the launch expected in the first week of May 2026. Pre-bookings are already underway; interested customers can book online or visit their nearest MG dealership for a fee of Rs 41,000.

Showroom previews and test drives are already in progress, and deliveries are expected to commence immediately after the official launch.

Variants and Pricing

The SUV will be offered in three variants: Sharp 4x4, Savvy 4x2, and Savvy 4x4. Once launched, the new Majestor will compete with the Toyota Fortuner Legender and is expected to be priced from around Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine and Performance

The Majestor is powered by a single 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215 hp, paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It features a 4x4 system with MG's M-Hub all-terrain management software, offering up to 10 selectable terrain and drive modes. The SUV also includes a crawl mode called M-Crawl, three differential locks, and a maximum water-wading capacity of 810 mm. It provides up to 10 off-road modes with automatic on-the-fly switching between 2H and 4H drive settings.

Design and Exterior

Design-wise, the Majestor boasts a large Matrix-style grille flanked by Falcon-inspired daytime running lights and modern split headlamps. The side profile highlights its premium stance with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear features new connected LED tail-lights and a sculpted tailgate with 'Morris Garages' and 'Majestor' badging. Other exterior highlights include faux twin exhaust tips, a skid plate, an integrated spoiler, and a rear wiper with a washer. Colour options include monotone shades such as Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey, and Metal Ash.

Interior and Seating

The new Majestor is offered in both six-seat and seven-seat layouts. The six-seater gets individual captain seats in the second row, while the seven-seater features a conventional bench. The dashboard has been completely redesigned with piano-black trim and silver accents for a modern feel. Features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, MG's i-Smart 2.0 connected-car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, and multiple massage functions, three-zone automatic climate control with rear-row vents, dual wireless charging pads, a panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a gesture-operated powered tailgate.

Safety Features

Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning with prevention, and blind-spot monitoring. Standard safety features also include electronic stability control, hill-hold and hill-descent control, ISOFIX mounts, a surround-view camera system, and six airbags.
