Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, successfully organised 'The Mind Fizz', an inter-school science quiz that brought together 15 leading schools from across the Tricity for an exciting contest of scientific knowledge and critical thinking.
Preliminary Round and Finalists
Following a preliminary knockout round, four teams advanced to the grand finale, competing in six challenging rounds covering Space and Astronomy, Medical Science, Environmental Sustainability, and Emerging Technologies.
Guests of Honour
The guests of honour were Dr Kawalpreet Kaur, Dr Kailash C Jena, Chandan Chandna, and Dr Neelesh Kumar. They appreciated the school's commitment to promoting scientific learning.
Winners and Prizes
The Tribune School, Chandigarh, emerged as the champion. Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, secured the first runner-up position, while New Public School, Chandigarh, was the second runner-up. Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, received the consolation prize, and Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, was honoured with the special consolation prize.
Congratulatory Remarks
Congratulating all participants, founders and Directors Dr Earnest Charles J Samuel and Annie Charles commended the students for their scientific temperament and spirit of innovation. Principal Dr Parveena John Singh remarked that 'The Mind Fizz' inspires students to think critically, explore fearlessly, and innovate confidently.
