In a significant leadership move, Nxtcell India Private Limited, the entity operating the Alcatel brand in the country, has named Atul Vivek as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment will be effective from 1 January 2026, marking a strategic shift for the company as it plans major expansions.
A Veteran Leader Takes the Helm
Atul Vivek steps into the top role bringing with him nearly two decades of extensive leadership experience. His career spans critical functions including sales, marketing, retail operations, and profit and loss management. He has held senior positions at prominent organizations such as Realme, Samsung Group, boAt, Lava, Aditya Birla Group, and Future Group.
This diverse background has equipped him with a proven track record of building and scaling businesses from the ground up. Prior to this promotion, Vivek served as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Alcatel India. In that capacity, he was instrumental in expanding the brand's market presence, executing key go-to-market strategies, and building teams focused on long-term growth.
Strategic Mandate for Future Growth
In his new role as CEO, Atul Vivek will assume end-to-end responsibility for the overall business growth, operations, and strategic direction. His primary focus will be on the Alcatel range of smartphones and its connected ecosystem. Furthermore, he will oversee all other brands under the Nxtcell India Private Limited portfolio, driving their expansion in both Indian and international markets.
This leadership change aligns with the company's aggressive growth strategy. Nxtcell India is preparing to launch a new smartphone, an AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things)-connected ecosystem, and even a consumer durables brand under its corporate umbrella.
