nubia has announced the launch of the Neo 5 GT Special Edition, a smartphone designed for young gamers and Gen Z users, featuring the AquaCore Cooling System—the first and only liquid and air dual active cooling system in its class. The device aims to deliver sustained gaming performance without compromise.
AquaCore Cooling System: Liquid and Air Dual Active Cooling
The centerpiece of the Neo 5 GT Special Edition is the AquaCore Cooling System, which combines liquid cooling and air cooling in a dual-active thermal architecture. The liquid cooling system uses an AI Server-Grade Coolant and a piezoelectric micropump to drive continuous coolant circulation. A built-in active cooling fan works with a Through-Flow Duct Design to generate high-speed airflow, accelerating heat dissipation. The total heat dissipation area is expanded to 33,652 mm², combining VC, graphite, and liquid cooling technologies.

The device is equipped with 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, a 3049Hz Instant Touch Rate, and Magic Touch 3.0 algorithm, achieving sub-5.5ms latency. It features a flat back with rounded corners and a 90-degree charging cable for comfort. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 4nm chipset, up to 24GB Dynamic RAM, and the NeoTurbo Engine, it aims to deliver stable frame rates. The battery is a 6,210mAh dual-cell unit with 80W fast charging (45W PD for EU) and Bypass Charging. A 5% Extreme Mode provides up to 30 minutes of extra gaming.
Immersive Display and AI Features
The smartphone sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits local peak brightness. It includes stereo dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra and an X-axis linear motor. The AI Copilot Demi 2.0 integrates features like Gaming Coach, Gaming Chatbot, and Demi Auto-Chat to assist users without interrupting gameplay.
Availability and Pricing
The nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition rolls out globally in July 2026, starting in Southeast Asia. It comes in Surge Black and Glacial Silver, with 24GB RAM (12GB+12GB) and 256GB or 512GB storage. The device includes a five-year software update commitment.
