Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has officially taken the wraps off its latest power-centric devices, the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6V, in its home market. The headline feature for both models is an enormous 9,000mAh battery, promising exceptional endurance. While the global launch, including for India, remains unconfirmed, strong industry speculation suggests these phones could arrive as the next generation in the company's widely popular Nord series.
Power-Packed Specifications: Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V Detailed
The flagship of the duo, the OnePlus Turbo 6, is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device sports a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, matching the visual experience of the recent OnePlus 15. For photography, it relies on a dual-camera system housed in a square module, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by a 2-megapixel monochrome lens.
Positioned as the more affordable variant, the OnePlus Turbo 6V is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It shares the same 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen as its sibling, though the refresh rate is slightly lower at a still-impressive 144Hz. The camera setup is identical to the Turbo 6.
Software, Battery, Pricing, and the India Connection
Out of the box in China, both new Turbo phones run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. However, if and when these models launch in India, they are almost certain to ship with the cleaner, global OxygenOS skin that Indian users prefer. The star of the show is the colossal 9,000mAh battery unit in both devices, supported by 80W wired fast charging to quickly top up the massive cell.
In terms of pricing, the OnePlus Turbo 6 starts at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs 27,247), while the Turbo 6V begins at CNY 3,099 (approximately Rs 40,228). It is important to note that these are Chinese prices, and the final cost in India, if launched, is expected to be slightly higher due to taxes and other factors.
The launch has fueled excitement about OnePlus's 2026 roadmap. Separately, reports indicate the company is also working on a device called the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, rumored to pair the same 9,000mAh battery with a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, hinting at an aggressive push into the long-battery-life smartphone segment.
