Realme Prepares to Launch India's First 10,000 mAh Battery Phone
Realme is gearing up to launch a groundbreaking smartphone in India this month. The device features a massive 10,000 mAh battery, making it the first of its kind in the Indian market.
BIS Certification Confirms Imminent Launch
The phone has already received Bureau of India Standards certification. This certification appeared on December 22, according to reliable tipster Yogesh Brar. The model number RMX5107 is now cleared for launch in January 2026.
Realme first showcased this battery powerhouse back in May last year. However, the company kept launch details under wraps until now. The BIS certification signals that the official debut is just around the corner.
Impressive Battery Technology and Design
Realme has packed advanced technology into this slim device. The phone maintains a remarkably thin profile at just 8.5mm thickness. It weighs slightly over 200 grams despite housing such a large battery.
The company uses an ultra-high silicon content anode battery with a 10% silicon ratio. This innovative battery achieves an energy density of 887Wh/L. Realme employs a "Mini Diamond Architecture" to accommodate the massive power cell within the phone's compact frame.
Realme's head of product marketing, Francis Wong, recently demonstrated the battery's capabilities on social media. He showed a phone with just 3% battery remaining after more than 30 days of use. Wong announced he wouldn't charge it until launch day, highlighting the exceptional battery performance.
Expected Features and Market Position
Industry leaks suggest this phone will belong to Realme's P series lineup. This positioning indicates it will be a mid-range device. Realme could become the first smartphone manufacturer to introduce a 10,000 mAh battery phone in India.
The phone incorporates the world's narrowest mainboard at just 23.4mm. This engineering achievement helps maintain the device's slim design. However, Realme hasn't revealed what fast charging technology will accompany this massive battery.
Competition in the Battery Space
Other smartphone makers are also pushing battery boundaries. OnePlus is reportedly developing its Nord 6 lineup with a substantial 9,000 mAh battery. The industry standard for battery capacity continues to rise across all price segments.
Chinese flagship and mid-range devices now commonly feature 7,000 mAh batteries. Even budget smartphones have started incorporating batteries exceeding 6,000 mAh. Recent examples include the OnePlus 15R with its 7,400 mAh battery and last year's Poco F7 with a 7,550 mAh power pack.
Realme's upcoming launch represents a significant leap in smartphone battery technology. Indian consumers can expect unprecedented battery life from this innovative device when it hits the market this month.
