Ahmedabad experienced partly cloudy skies on Saturday, but the mercury remained high at 41.5 degrees Celsius. This maximum temperature was 0.6 degrees above normal and the highest recorded among all cities and towns in Gujarat, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Temperature and Humidity Details
The minimum temperature in the city settled at 29.6 degrees Celsius, which was 0.1 degree above normal. Relative humidity levels were recorded at 63 percent at 8:30 AM and 32 percent at 5:30 PM, indicating a drop in moisture later in the day.
IMD Forecast for Sunday and Beyond
The IMD forecast suggests that the maximum temperature on Sunday is likely to remain in the same range, around 41.5 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the weather agency indicated no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next seven days. Some parts of Gujarat may receive light showers, but overall, the heat is expected to persist.
The IMD also noted that conditions are becoming favorable for the progress of the southwest monsoon in parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka, among other regions.
