Akhilesh Vasantrao Peshwe officially assumed office as the new pro-vice chancellor of Nagpur University on Thursday. He took charge in the presence of Vice Chancellor Manali Kshirsagar, marking a significant milestone as the 14th pro-VC of the institution. Immediately after the formalities, Peshwe began functioning from his office.
Ceremony and Attendees
Registrar Raju Hivse welcomed Peshwe during the event. Several senior university officials and academicians were present, including Umesh Palikundwar, dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Shamrao Koreti, dean of Humanities; Mangala Hirawade, dean of Interdisciplinary Studies; and Vijay Khandal, director of the Knowledge Resource Centre. Heads of various academic departments, teachers, officers, employees, and representatives of different university organisations also attended the ceremony.
