Bengaluru is bracing for intermittent thundershowers accompanied by wind speeds of 30–40 kmph over the next 48 hours, raising concerns of further disruption in an already-battered city, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Weather Forecast for the Next 12 Hours
In the next 12 hours, the city is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers expected at isolated places towards the night. These may be accompanied by gusty winds of 30–40 kmph. The maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 36°C and 20°C respectively, with the maximum temperature expected to remain 2°C above normal.
Extended Weather Pattern
The IMD has indicated that a similar weather pattern is likely to continue over the next 36 hours. The sky will remain partly cloudy, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places, especially towards the evening or night. Temperatures are likely to remain around 36°C (maximum) and 20°C (minimum), with the maximum staying above normal by 2°C.
Residents are advised to stay cautious as the gusty winds and rain may cause localized waterlogging and traffic disruptions. The IMD continues to monitor the situation and will issue updates as necessary.
