Major traffic snarls were reported in areas such as Marathahalli, Silk Board, KR Puram, Hebbal, and Yeshwanthpur. These junctions, already known for heavy traffic, witnessed severe congestion due to the rain. Waterlogging was particularly problematic on stretches like Outer Ring Road and Ballari Road, where vehicles crawled at a snail's pace.
Impact on Commuters
Commuters spent extra time on the roads, with some reporting delays of over an hour. Many took to social media to express their frustration, sharing updates on traffic conditions. Autorickshaw and cab fares surged due to the increased demand and limited availability. The Bangalore Traffic Police issued advisories urging people to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternate routes.
