Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru is set for a major upgrade to address increasing patient demands. The hospital will be expanded from its current capacity of 400 beds to 600 beds within the next two years. This expansion aims to provide enhanced medical facilities and better healthcare services to the people of Karnataka.
Additional Facilities Planned
As part of the upgrade, the hospital will add two more Operation Theatres (OTs) and two more Cath Labs to its existing infrastructure. Currently, the hospital operates four OTs and four cath labs. The new additions will significantly boost the hospital's ability to perform surgeries and cardiac procedures.
Meeting Growing Healthcare Needs
The decision to expand comes in response to the rising demand for specialized cardiac care in the region. Jayadeva Hospital, a premier institution for heart-related treatments, has been operating at full capacity, prompting the need for more beds and advanced facilities.
The upgrade is expected to be completed within two years, ensuring that patients have access to timely and quality healthcare. The hospital administration has confirmed that the expansion will not only increase bed strength but also improve overall patient care and operational efficiency.
This development is part of broader efforts by the Karnataka government to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the state. Mysuru, a key city in Karnataka, will benefit from these enhancements, reducing the need for patients to travel to Bengaluru for advanced cardiac care.
