Operation and Background

Police raided their residence near Stadium Link Road in Kaloor based on a confidential tip-off. According to police, the group had been staying in Kerala for nearly a year. Authorities suspect that the individuals entered India illegally through areas along the India-Bangladesh border before traveling to Kolkata. After reaching India, they worked as scrap dealers. The accused reportedly traveled to Kerala by train.

Ongoing Investigation

Police stated that a detailed investigation is being conducted to cross-verify their statements. The probe has also begun to determine if more undocumented Bangladesh nationals are staying illegally in the state.
