JAIPUR: At least three children lost their lives and three others sustained injuries after a water tank wall collapsed on them at a factory construction site in Bhiwadi town of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, police reported on Tuesday.

The tragic incident occurred at an under-construction factory situated on Old Samtal Road in Bhiwadi's industrial area, according to authorities.

Three other injured individuals — Shrimani (40), Jeetu (25), and Aruna (40) — are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhiwadi. Doctors have described their condition as critical.

Bhiwadi Deputy Superintendent of Police Pradeep Nehra said the victims were near the water tank when its wall suddenly collapsed on them. He added that the factory was being constructed by a private builder.

The incident highlights the dangers at construction sites, especially for children who may be present in such areas. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collapse and whether safety norms were violated.
