Wild Bear Spotted on Tirumala Ghat Road
Tirumala, October 12: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has issued an alert after a wild bear was sighted on the ghat road leading to the hill shrine of Tirumala on Saturday night. According to the TTD's vigilance and security department, the bear was observed moving aggressively near the Vinayaka Swamy temple on the second ghat road.
CCTV footage captured the bear rummaging through dustbins in search of food before it retreated into the Seshachalam forests. TTD authorities have cautioned devotees to exercise caution while moving around the Vinayaka Swamy temple area. Motorists have also been advised not to stop their vehicles in the vicinity of the temple.
In response to the incident, TTD vigilance and security officials have intensified patrolling in the area as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of pilgrims and visitors. The alert comes as a reminder of the wildlife presence in the forested regions surrounding the temple town.
Precautionary Measures Advised
Devotees are urged to remain vigilant and avoid straying into isolated areas, especially during early morning or late evening hours when wildlife activity is more common. The TTD has assured that all necessary steps are being taken to monitor the situation and prevent any untoward incidents.
