Massive King Cobra Discovered in Village Home, Sparks Panic in Karnataka
Residents of Halavalli village in Ankola taluk, Uttara Kannada district, experienced a heart-stopping moment when a colossal 16-foot king cobra was found concealed within a residential house. The incident sent shockwaves through the community, as the venomous snake had stealthily entered the home and remained hidden, causing immediate alarm among the family and their neighbours.
Swift Response from Local Snake Rescuers
As news of the dangerous intruder spread rapidly, locals promptly contacted a dedicated team of snake enthusiasts renowned for their expertise in handling such perilous situations. Suraj Shetty Arabail and Harish Madival, members of the rescue squad, rushed to the scene without delay. With crucial support from the forest department, they initiated a meticulous operation to capture the reptile, ensuring the safety of all involved.
Careful Capture and Safe Release into the Wild
Working with extreme caution and precision, the duo successfully secured the king cobra, avoiding any harm to the snake or the surrounding people. Once safely contained in a bag, the team transported the reptile to a remote forest area, far from human settlements, and released it back into its natural habitat.
