Nearly 600 Sikh pilgrims from India have arrived in Pakistan to participate in the death anniversary commemorations of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Sikh guru who was martyred in 1606. The main ceremony of the event will be held at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore on June 16.
Pilgrimage Details
The group of pilgrims crossed the Wagah border on Wednesday and was warmly received by Pakistani officials. They will stay in Pakistan for several days, visiting various Sikh shrines including Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur, and Panja Sahib. This annual pilgrimage is a significant event for the Sikh community, allowing devotees to pay homage to their revered guru.
