Dhubri: District guardian minister Ashok Singhal visited Bhogdanda, a village situated beyond the fence in the Golokganj sector of the Indo-Bangla border, and conducted an inspection of the area on Thursday.
Interaction with Villagers
Singhal first engaged with the residents of Bhogdanga, listening attentively to their concerns and grievances. Addressing a brief gathering, he assured them that all their demands would be addressed soon. He stated, 'You have raised concerns about smooth road connectivity between Bhogdanga and the rest of the district, basic amenities, public services, and infrastructure development. All these demands will be fulfilled.'
Border Security Review
Following the village visit, Singhal reviewed border security and management protocols with BSF officials during a meeting held at Lakhimari (Sonahat). The discussion focused on enhancing surveillance and coordination along the international border.
Religious Visits and Development Review
Earlier in the day, Singhal paid a visit to Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji and offered prayers at Maa Mahamaya Dham, 25-hath Kali Temple in Bogribari. He later chaired a meeting at the Dhubri Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall to assess the progress of ongoing development projects in the district.
Meeting with BJP Workers
In the evening, Singhal convened with BJP party workers, urging them to dedicate their efforts towards achieving a 'Viksit Assam' (Developed Assam). He emphasized the importance of collective work for the state's progress.
This visit underscores the state government's commitment to addressing the needs of remote border villages and ensuring robust security measures.
