In a significant operation, a Bangladeshi national named Muqtar Hussain (32), a resident of Dinajpur in Bangladesh, has been apprehended by the 89 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Assam’s Dhubri district. The incident occurred on Saturday night when BSF personnel were conducting routine border patrolling near the Bishkhowas Border Out Post in the Golokganj sector.
According to sources, Hussain was detained during these patrols and is currently being interrogated by the BSF intelligence branch. The source further stated that after the interrogation is complete, he will be handed over to the Golokganj Police Station for further legal procedures.
A senior officer at the Golokganj Police Station confirmed that the BSF has not yet handed over the detainee, but it is expected that the transfer will take place after the BSF completes its formalities. The officer assured that all necessary steps will be taken as per the law once the individual is in police custody.
