Bokaro: Deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha on Thursday conducted a review of the ongoing Bokaro airport project and directed concerned officials to complete pending work within the stipulated timeline. Jha stated that the management of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has been instructed to finish pruning bushes and other cleaning work on both sides of the 75-metre runway stretch within the next 15 days to ensure operational safety. He emphasized that all departments must work in coordination to remove obstacles and help start flight operations from Bokaro at the earliest.
Meeting and Progress Review
Officials from the Airports Authority of India Ranchi, BSL, district administration, and police attended the meeting and reviewed the progress of airport-related works. The district administration has stepped up monitoring efforts due to delays in completing key clearance and maintenance work at the Bokaro airport expansion project.
