CM Yogi to Inaugurate Chiluatal Tourism Project in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur is set to welcome a new tourist attraction as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurates the tourism development and beautification project at Chiluatal on June 2. The project, completed at a cost of Rs 20.39 crore, aims to transform the area into a modern recreational hub, with additional features still being added.

Transformation of Chiluatal

Following the successful transformation of Ramgarhtal into one of the city's most popular recreational spots, the state government has now developed Chiluatal on the northern edge of Gorakhpur as another major attraction. According to Rajendra Prasad Yadav, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department, the project seeks to promote Chiluatal as a contemporary tourist destination while enhancing local infrastructure and visitor facilities.

Key Developments and Features

The development work, executed by UP Projects Corporation Ltd, includes a 570-metre pathway, renovated ghats with staircases, railings along the lakefront, solar lighting, interlocking roads, CC roads, benches, a 400-metre approach road, side walls, drainage facilities, stone pitching, shops, and toilet blocks. The newly developed waterfront has already started attracting morning and evening walkers, offering a serene environment for leisure activities.

Boating and Recreational Appeal

In a major attraction for tourists, boating facilities similar to those at Ramgarhtal will also be introduced at Chiluatal, significantly enhancing its appeal as a recreational and leisure destination in Gorakhpur. This addition is expected to draw more visitors and solidify Chiluatal's status as a key tourist spot in the district.
