Delhi Weather: Gradual Rise in Temp, AQI Moderate

NEW DELHI: As the impact of the western disturbance begins to subside in the national capital, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates a gradual increase in temperatures. The maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius, which is four notches below the normal average, compared to 33.6 degrees Celsius a day earlier. Similarly, the minimum temperature settled at 20.7 degrees Celsius, also four notches below normal, against 19.6 degrees Celsius the previous day.

The IMD has indicated that night-time temperatures are likely to rise gradually, potentially reaching 27 degrees Celsius by the weekend. A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect the western Himalayan region from May 10, but for now, a steady rise in maximum temperatures is predicted, with an increase of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius over the next five days.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature on Thursday is expected to hover between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius, while on Friday it may climb to between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius.
