Dubai's RTA Declares Free Public Parking for Eid Al Fitr Celebrations
In a festive gesture, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all public parking across the city will be free of charge from the first day of Eid Al Fitr until the third day of the holiday. This exemption applies to all public parking zones, with the exception of multi-storey parking facilities, which will continue to operate under standard tariffs. The authority has clarified that parking fees will resume from the fourth day of Eid, ensuring a smooth transition back to normal operations.
Comprehensive Transport Schedule for Eid Al Fitr Holiday
The RTA has also released detailed business hours for its services during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, spanning from Thursday, March 19 to Saturday, March 21. This includes adjustments to metro, tram, and bus services to accommodate the festive period.
Dubai Metro and Tram Operations:
- Red Line and Green Line stations of the Dubai Metro will operate as follows: from March 18 to March 21, services will run from 5 am to 1 am the next day. On March 22, operations will shift to 8 am to 1 am the next day.
- The Dubai Tram will operate on a modified schedule: from Wednesday to Saturday, it will run from 6 am to 1 am the next day, and on Sunday, from 9 am to 1 am the next day.
Bus Service Adjustments:
- Passengers are advised that Bus Route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from the afternoon of March 18 until March 22. As an alternative, Bus Route E101 will be available, operating from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
- Additionally, Bus Route E102 will operate from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Musaffah from March 19 until March 22, 2026, providing extended connectivity during the holiday period.
Closures and Resumptions for Vehicle Testing and Customer Centres
Service provider centres for vehicle testing will be closed during the Eid Al Fitr holiday from March 19 to Saturday, March 21. Technical inspection services will resume on Sunday at the following centres:
- Tasjeel Al Twar
- AutoPro Al Mankhool
- Tasjeel Al Awir
- Tasjeel Discovery Gardens
- Al Yalayis
- Shamil Al Muhaisnah
- Al Mutakamela Al Quoz
- Shamil Nad Al Hamar
Customer happiness centres will also be closed during the holiday. However, the following centres will continue to operate around the clock to assist residents and visitors:
- Customer Happiness Centre at Umm Ramool
- Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and the RTA Head Office.
