Firefighting authorities reported that witnesses alerted emergency services via 119 shortly after the explosion. A Level 1 response was initiated, deploying 44 units of equipment and over 100 firefighters to the site. The explosion is believed to have been caused by a propulsion device located on the first floor of the factory, as per police and firefighting officials.

Local medical official Kim Ju-yeon confirmed that one of the two injured individuals is in critical condition.
