Heavy rain lashed parts of Bengaluru on Tuesday, leading to the uprooting of over 50 trees and causing significant waterlogging in several areas. The downpour disrupted traffic and normal life across the city.
Weather Report
The maximum temperature at Bengaluru City was recorded at 33.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.2 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature settled at 22.6 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degrees above the seasonal average.
Impact on Infrastructure
Several roads and underpasses were inundated, including the railway underpass at RMV 2nd Stage and the KR Circle underpass. Fallen tree branches blocked major roads in Sanjaynagar, causing traffic snarls. Barricades were placed at the entrance of the KR Circle underpass as a precautionary measure.
Authorities have advised commuters to avoid waterlogged routes and exercise caution while traveling. Emergency services are on alert to handle any further incidents.
