External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held a meeting with his Jamaican counterpart to review the bilateral relationship between India and Jamaica. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in various sectors and reaffirming India's support for Jamaica's post-disaster recovery efforts.

They agreed to explore opportunities for joint ventures and knowledge exchange. Jaishankar invited Jamaican businesses to invest in India and take advantage of the country's growing economy and skilled workforce.
India has been actively involved in Caribbean development through initiatives like the India-UN Development Partnership Fund and the International Solar Alliance. The meeting underscored the importance of continued cooperation in multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Commonwealth.
Both ministers expressed optimism about the future of India-Jamaica relations and pledged to work together to address common challenges, including climate change and sustainable development. The discussions concluded with a commitment to further enhance people-to-people ties through cultural exchanges and educational programs.
