A special programme was organized at Lok Bhavan in Shillong on Tuesday to commemorate the foundation day and statehood day of Sikkim, Goa, and Telangana. The event, held at the Durbar Hall, saw active participation from government officials, college students, distinguished citizens, and invited guests.
Cultural Performances Highlight Rich Heritage

Absence of Governor, but Ceremony Proceeds
Although the Governor of Meghalaya, CH Vijayashankar, could not attend the programme, the event commenced with a welcome address delivered by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, HC Chaudhary. The gathering also listened to messages from the Governors of Sikkim, Goa, and Telangana, which were read out during the ceremony.
Video Screenings and Felicitations
As part of the programme, videos highlighting the culture, history, and heritage of the three states were screened for the audience. The event concluded with the felicitation of all participants who took part in the cultural performances, recognizing their contributions to making the event a success.
