COIMBATORE: Southern Railway has announced changes in train services to facilitate the installation of girders for a new foot overbridge being constructed at Kuppam railway station in the Jolarpet–Bengaluru section. The construction work necessitates temporary adjustments to the schedules of two trains on specific dates in May 2025.
Rescheduled Train Services
No. 16526 KSR Bengaluru – Kanyakumari Express, which is scheduled to depart from KSR Bengaluru at 8:10 PM, will be rescheduled to leave at 10:40 PM on May 14, 15, 16, 17, and 19. This represents a delay of two and a half hours for passengers traveling on these dates.
Similarly, No. 06555 SMVT Bengaluru – Thiruvananthapuram North special train, scheduled to depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 10:00 PM on May 15, will be rescheduled to leave two hours later, at midnight.
Additionally, No. 16526 KSR Bengaluru – Kanyakumari Express, scheduled to depart at 8:10 PM on May 20, will be rescheduled to leave at 10:10 PM, a delay of two hours.
Passengers are advised to check the revised timings and plan their journeys accordingly. The changes are part of ongoing infrastructure improvements at Kuppam station aimed at enhancing passenger safety and convenience.
