Garhwa: Two children tragically lost their lives during a rain and thunderstorm in the district on Friday. The deceased were identified as 12-year-old Aditya Biyar and 15-year-old Samrina Khatoon.

First Incident: Wall Collapse

Aditya Biyar, a resident of Saro village under Bishunpura police station limits, was sleeping in the afternoon when the mud wall of his house collapsed on him. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The sudden collapse was attributed to the heavy rain weakening the structure.

Second Incident: Lightning Strike

In a separate incident, Samrina Khatoon was killed and four others were injured in Juti village under Garhwa police station limits due to a lightning strike. The injured were immediately rushed to Garhwa Sadar Hospital for medical treatment. Police officials confirmed that the injured are receiving necessary care and their condition is reported to be stable.
