World Bank Team Reviews Vizag Urban Development Plans

A review meeting was conducted at the GVMC office in Visakhapatnam with a three-member team led by World Bank representative Abhijit Ray. The team will analyze the Vizag city profile, development potential, and urban infrastructure requirements for the development of the city's economic region as part of the Visakhapatnam Economic Region, according to GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg.

Detailed Presentation on Developmental Initiatives

During the review meeting, the commissioner provided a comprehensive presentation on various developmental initiatives undertaken by GVMC, projects executed under the urban challenge fund, and other proposed infrastructure projects. He elaborated on the growth trajectory, development priorities, and the scope for future investments in Vizag to the World Bank representatives.

Field Visits and Assessment

The commissioner further informed that the team had visited the city to assess the existing urban framework and identify priority projects required for future growth and development. The World Bank team will continue its field visits and study of various locations across the city on Friday.
