Anita Sharma, a resident of Indiranagar, recalls the majestic banyan tree near her childhood home. "It was a meeting point for all of us kids. We played under its shade and celebrated festivals around it. Seeing it uprooted was heartbreaking," she says.
Similarly, Ravi Kumar from Koramangala laments the loss of a rain tree that stood for over 40 years. "It provided a cool canopy during summers and was home to many birds. The silence now is deafening," he adds.
