Meteorologists attribute the current conditions to two successive western disturbances impacting northwest India this week. The peak activity is anticipated on April 3-4, with another round expected around April 7. The primary system involves a cyclonic circulation over south Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan, extending from lower to upper tropospheric levels. Additionally, upper-air cyclonic circulations over northeast Pakistan and Haryana are further intensifying atmospheric instability, increasing the likelihood of thunderstorms and gusty winds across the area.

Compared to Thursday, the average maximum temperature in the state dropped by 3.6°C and remained 1.7°C below the normal range. In Haryana, the highest maximum temperature was recorded at 34.8°C in Nuh.

According to the IMD, a gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 3-5°C is expected across Haryana until April 4. This will be followed by a slight rise of 2-3°C on April 5 and 6. Another temperature dip of 3-5°C is projected between April 7 and 9. Overall, temperatures are likely to remain normal to below normal until April 9, providing continued relief from the heat.
