A fire incident was reported in the B-1 coach of Train No. 12431, the Thiruvananthapuram–Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, on Sunday. The incident occurred between Luni Richha and Vikramgarh Alot stations, according to officials from the West Central Railway’s Kota Division.
Passengers Evacuated Safely
All passengers from the affected coach were safely deboarded, and no injuries or casualties were reported among passengers or railway staff. The prompt response ensured that everyone was moved to safety without any harm.
Immediate Actions Taken
Following the fire detection, the overhead electric (OHE) supply was immediately cut off to prevent further escalation. The affected coach was detached from the rest of the rake to isolate the fire. Railway staff and senior officials rushed to the spot, and firefighting operations were initiated promptly.
Train No. 12955 was held at Mahidpur Road station due to the incident. Officials have stated that the section is expected to be cleared shortly, and train services will resume normalcy soon.
