Jharkhand CID Busts Child Sexual Exploitation Racket, Two Held

Bokaro: The Jharkhand Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has dismantled an online child sexual exploitation network that was operating through a messaging application. Two suspects were arrested from the Koldih area of Giridih district. The investigation revealed that the accused were allegedly circulating and selling Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM) to users in Middle Eastern countries, including Oman and the United Arab Emirates, as well as in Bangladesh.

Raids and Arrests

According to a press release issued by the CID on Saturday, the case was registered based on actionable intelligence inputs regarding the online circulation and sale of CSEAM. During the investigation, technical surveillance led the CID teams to conduct raids in the Koldih area of Giridih district, resulting in the arrest of Wahab Ansari and Hasan Raza. Officials stated that digital forensic examination of their mobile phones and other electronic devices uncovered objectionable content related to online child sexual abuse and exploitation.

International Links

Investigators also identified multiple online groups and channels where the accused were active participants involved in sharing and exchanging illegal material. Preliminary findings indicate that the content was being sold to individuals in Oman, Bangladesh, and the UAE. The CID emphasized that this operation is part of Jharkhand police's intensified efforts to combat cybercrimes against children and dismantle digital exploitation networks operating across borders.
