A senior staff member of a prominent private school in Bokaro was killed while her husband and daughter sustained critical injuries in a road accident on lake road under the City police station area late on Wednesday.
Accident Details
The deceased, Babita Kumari (51), who worked in the school’s health department, succumbed to injuries during treatment at Bokaro General Hospital on Thursday. Her husband, Manoj Kumar, and daughter Vishakha are undergoing treatment and are said to be in critical condition.
The family was travelling towards Sector 3 when their car was hit by another speeding car coming from the other direction. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were extensively damaged.
Investigation Underway
Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The driver of the other vehicle has been taken into custody for questioning. Authorities are urging drivers to adhere to speed limits and follow traffic rules to prevent such tragedies.
