A tragic accident occurred in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district, where a woman lost her life and four members of her family sustained injuries after their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge. The incident took place on the National Highway near the Shilli area, approximately 15 kilometers from Solan town.

The family was traveling from Shimla to Kalka when the driver lost control of the car, causing it to veer off the road and fall into a 200-meter deep gorge. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Sushma Devi, a resident of Shimla. The injured include her husband, two children, and a relative. They were rushed to the Regional Hospital in Solan, where their condition is reported to be stable.
Rescue and Response
Local police and rescue teams reached the spot shortly after the accident was reported. The injured were extricated from the wreckage with the help of villagers and rushed to the hospital. The car was completely damaged in the accident. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident, which is suspected to be due to excessive speed or driver fatigue.
