Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday assured traders and industrialists of full government support amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, stating that the situation has adversely affected industries, particularly the import-export sector.

Addressing representatives of industrial and traders' associations from the NCR region at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, Saini said Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed concern over the global situation and stressed the need to closely monitor even minor issues affecting businesses.

Drawing parallels with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Minister said industries and the government would jointly overcome the present challenges. He announced that Haryana's new industrial policy received Cabinet approval and incorporated suggestions from industry stakeholders to create a more business-friendly environment.
